PROJECTING THE KITCHEN DESIGN IDEAS
PROJECTING THE KITCHEN DESIGN IDEAS
Friday, August 7th, 2009

Cook at the kitchen is now one of the home environment that attracted much attention. And that is no longer the only place where food is prepared, in many cases becomes the preferred and dominates the corner of the visits during a reunion.

For this reason it must be a functional space and yet welcoming. There are many styles of cuisine and depend largely on the personality that every one wants to impose. However, not everything should be decided by the simple tastes, it is important to observe certain basic criteria to project our space.

The first thing is to take into account the size of the room, this will help us decide the appropriate distribution of devices and accessories. In doing so, we think that the kitchen sink and the working groups should be close together and allow for comfortable work.

The best thing for floors and walls are ceramic and laminate. For accessories, you can opt for those made of stainless steel. On the lighting, we will say that it is the feeling of brightness and life to be provided. Lighting should be clear and allow for good visibility in the most used.
When choosing appliances, think about not only about its beauty but also its functionality and maintenance. It is important to provide the space required for use and storage.

Ceramic Tile That Looks Like Hardwood Flooring
I personally love this style and this would be terrific in a bathroom or kitchen.

FLOORS

The best way to get the genuine look of hardwood flooring is to, well, install hardwood floors. But wood can be on the expensive side, so many homeowners look for alternatives. Also, it’s not always a good fit in a bathroom, kitchen, or other areas that might see frequent moisture. Likewise, laminate flooring can warp if it gets wet often. That’s why ceramic tiles are popular in bathrooms, entryways, and kitchens. But most of them don’t look much like wood.

The Woodlands 6×20 Interceramic ceramic tiles come in styles that mimic hardwood floors. They have cherry, maple, sherwood, chestnut, and oak. “The wood look gives the room a warm, familiar atmosphere that is inviting and after all the guests have left, the easy maintenance of ceramic floor will make sure you don’t spend all night cleaning.” (as if I would have spent all night cleaning anyway)

Laminate countertops that have been the industry kitchen cabinets standard for decades, but now there are a wide variety of solid core, stone and butcher block countertops to choose from.

Let’s talk about Laminate Countertops. This is by far your least expensive option. The typical laminate countertops for kitchen cabinets now are up to 400% more durable than they were just ten years ago. They are more resistant to scratching scuffing and burning. They also come in a huge variety of colors, textures and patterns and finishes. The drawback to laminate is that they CAN be affected by excess heat, say from a pot, and the edges will be exposed. If you are looking for a clean look and durability, laminate countertops will not be your best choice.

Let’s talk about finishes. There are three main types of finishes. Gloss, semi-gloss or satin and textured.
